主讲人简介：

      Professor Geng is the Chair Professor in ground engineering at the School of Engineering, University of Warwick, UK. She also serves as the Deputy Chair for the British Standards Institution (BSI) B/526 Geotechnical Engineering, co-leading, editing and supporting the National Annex relating to the new edition of the Eurocode. She is a Chartered civil engineer (ICE), a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineering (FICE), a Fellow of The British Geological Society (FGS), and a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She is the Principal Investigator (PI) on over £8 m and Co-PI on about £10m of research funding in the past 5 years. She is the Editor in Chief for Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Geotechnical Engineering. She also serves on the Editorial Board for Computers and Geotechnics, Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Ground Improvement, Transportation Geotechnics. Prof. Geng has authored 100+ peer-reviewed papers and works in partnership with a variety of commercial and government bodies. She has conducted both fundamental and applied research in the disciplines of rail geotechnics, ground improvement, and road embankments with special reference to soft soil foundations. Her contributions through research to innovative design and construction practices in rail track engineering and problematic ground improvement for stabilising transport infrastructure have made a significant impact worldwide. The above contributions have been instrumental in changing industry practices, including revisions to the British and Australian design standards.
